Every 12 hours, Vortex creates complete machine-level backups across all servers — Public, Sub and VIP.
Our goal is simple: to make sure players never lose everything they’ve built, no matter what happens.
Vortex runs on a multi-server infrastructure designed for stability and long-term reliability.
Every 12 hours, a complete snapshot is taken of each ARK server — including the entire system, configurations, map data, and clusters.
These snapshots are stored securely on a separate backup server, outside the live environment.
If a host or physical machine ever fails, we can fully restore that server to its last backup — including all player bases, tames, and progress — without losing data across the cluster.
This means that even in the worst-case scenario (hardware crash, corruption, datacenter issue), your world remains safe.
In ARK, players invest hours, days, and sometimes months into building their base, breeding dinos, and exploring the world.
We understand that losing everything due to a technical issue is devastating — that’s why we’ve built our Disaster Recovery System around machine-level protection.
Whether you play on Public, Sub, or VIP servers — your world is protected by a full off-host backup system.
These machine-level backups are for disaster recovery only.
They are not used for individual player rollbacks or personal requests.
If a full server needs to be restored, it is done only by the admin team in case of:
– Hardware or disk failure
– Corrupted system images
– Critical datacenter issues
This system exists to protect everyone’s progress, not to handle individual losses,
that’s what our player-level save system covers.
Yes — this is a full machine-level snapshot, not just data files.
On a separate dedicated machine in our backup network.
Every 12 hours automatically.
Between 7 and 14 days (adjustable depending on space and needs).
Automatic retries and alerts are triggered, and a status report is logged.
